Rule 567-49.27 - Water sampling and analysis

(1) The owner of a new, reconstructed, or rehabilitated well shall be responsible for submitting a water sample to a certified laboratory for coliform bacteria and nitrate analysis. The water sample shall be collected at least 10 days and not more than 30 days after a well is put into service following the construction, reconstruction, or rehabilitation. The analysis results shall be submitted to the administrative authority.

(2) If the water sample analysis detects presence of bacteria, the disinfection procedure described in rule 49.26(455B) shall be repeated.
