If an error resulting in an overpayment or double payment of a claim is discovered by the attorney, by the state public defender, by the department, or otherwise, the claimant shall reimburse the indigent defense fund for the amount of the overpayment. An overpayment shall be paid by check. The check, made payable to the "Treasurer, State of Iowa," together with a copy of the payment voucher containing the overpayment or double payment, shall be mailed to the Office of the State Public Defender, Lucas State Office Building, 321 East I2th Street, Des Moines, Iowa 50319.
