Rule 486-4.4 - Computation of time

(1) In computing any period of time prescribed or allowed in these rules, the day from which the designated period begins to run shall not be included. The last day of the period so computed shall be included unless it is a Saturday, Sunday, state or federal holiday, in which event the period runs until the end of the next day which is not a Saturday, Sunday, state or federal holiday. When the period of time prescribed or allowed is less than seven days, intermediate Saturdays, Sundays, state and federal holidays shall be excluded in the computation.

(2) Where service of a pleading or document is by mail pursuant to 4.7(10A,88), three days shall be added to the time allowed by these rules for the filing of a responsive pleading.
