Rule 486-4.101 - Emergency proceeding(1) Upon the application of any party or intervenor, or upon its own motion, and for good cause shown, the employment appeal board may order an emergency proceeding. The party or intervenor shall include in its motion the hazards to which the employees are exposed, the probable injuries which could occur from such exposure, and the number of employees exposed to each hazard.(2) When such proceeding is ordered, the employment appeal board shall notify all parties and intervenors.(3) The employment appeal board in an emergency proceeding shall make necessary orders with respect to time for filing of pleadings and other documents and shall do all other things necessary to complete the proceeding in the minimum time consistent with fairness.This rule is intended to implement Iowa Code chapter 88 and section 10A.601.
