No one may produce, distribute, offer for sale or sell adulterated food. "Adulterated" is defined in the federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act, Section 402. Adulterated food shall be disposed of in a reasonable manner as determined by the department. The destruction of adulterated food shall be watched by a person approved by the department.
This rule is intended to implement Iowa Code section 137F.2.
