Rule 441-81.44 - Directed in-service training

(1)Required training. The department of inspections and appeals may require the staff of a facility to attend an in-service training program if:

a. The facility has a pattern of deficiencies that indicate noncompliance; and

b. Education is likely to correct the deficiencies.

(2)Action following training. After the staff has received in-service training, if the facility has not achieved substantial compliance, the department of inspections and appeals may impose one or more other remedies.

(3)Payment. The facility is responsible for the payment for the directed in-service training.
