Any vehicle used, other than that used by individuals to transport their own children or other children on a not-for-hire basis, is considered to be a school bus and is to meet all requirements for the type of vehicle used, including semiannual inspection. This rule is not intended to govern the use of passenger vehicles during the time the vehicles are not actually engaged in transporting school pupils.
