All private contractors wishing to transport pupils to and from school in privately owned vehicles are to be under contract with the local board of education. This rule does not apply to individuals who transport their own children or other children on a not-for-hire basis.
The contract will include, but not be limited to, all provisions prescribed by the department of education.
