An Iowa resident may apply for a temporary license pursuant to Iowa Code section 522B. 10. The applicant must submit a written request to the division that includes the reason for the request and the length of time for which the temporary license is requested. Temporary licenses will be issued for 90 days, with extensions allowed, but in no event for longer than 180 days, pursuant to Iowa Code section 522B.10.
