Rule 161-9.23 - Deposition subpoena

(1) The commission may issue subpoenas for persons named in and described in a notice to take depositions under rule 161-9.18 (216). Subpoenas may also be issued as provided by statute or by rule 161-3.14 (216).

(2) No resident of Iowa shall be subpoenaed to attend a deposition out of the county where the deponent resides, or is employed, or transacts business in person.
