Rule 11-4.2 - Statement of policy, purpose and scope

The purpose of this chapter is to facilitate broad public access to open records by establishing rules, policies and procedures to implement the fair information practices Act, Iowa Code chapter 22. Chapter 4 seeks to facilitate sound department determinations with respect to the handling of confidential records. The department is committed to complying with Iowa Code chapter 22; department staff shall cooperate with members of the public in implementing the provisions of that chapter.
