Section 760 IAC 2-3-3 - Termination; extension of benefits

Sec. 3.

Termination of long term care insurance shall not prejudice any benefits payable for institutionalization if the institutionalization began while the long term care insurance was in force and which institutionalization continues without interruption after termination. The extension of benefits beyond the period the long term care insurance was in force may be limited to the following:

(1) The duration of the benefit period, if any.

(2) Payment of the maximum benefits, if any.

Further, such extension of benefits may be subject to any policy waiting period and all other applicable provisions of the policy.
