Sec. 7.
(a) When a new deck is put into play, the cards should be sorted and inspected in accordance with 68 IAC 14-3. After the cards are sorted and inspected, the dealer must spread the cards out, face up on the table, for visual inspection by the players.(b) After the cards have been visually inspected by the players, the cards must be placed face down on the table and randomly intermixed so that the cards are no longer in sequential order.(c) After the cards have been randomly intermixed in accordance with subsection (b), the cards must be:(1) turned face down on the table;(2) shuffled so that they are randomly intermixed; and(3) stacked and placed in seven (7) piles for each of the six (6) gaming positions and the dealer.(d) The riverboat licensee may allow an occupational licensee to complete the steps set forth in subsections (a) and (b), in the presence of a supervisor, before the initial embarkation period of the gaming day.(e) The dealer must reshuffle the cards after each round so that they are randomly intermixed.
