Sec. 7.
(a) After the cards have been shuffled, the dealer must offer the stack of cards with the backs facing away from the dealer to the cutting player to be cut in a manner that does not expose the value of any cards to a player or a spectator.(b) The dealer must make a reasonable attempt to alternate the cut among all players.(c) The cutting player must cut the cards by placing the cutting card in the stack at least five (5) cards from either end of the stack of cards. Once the cutting card has been inserted by the player, the dealer must take all cards in front of the cutting card and place them on the back of the stack after which the dealer must insert the cutting card in a position approximately a quarter of the distance from the back of the stack.(d) If a shoe is used, the stack of cards must then be inserted into the shoe for the beginning of play. If a shoe is not used, the cards must be dealt from the hand of the dealer.
