Sec. 3.
To qualify for an inspector's license, an applicant must do the following:
(1) Apply for an inspector's license on a form and in a manner approved by the division, which shall include:(A) the applicant's name;(B) the applicant's address;(C) the education and experience of the applicant;(D) a list of the applicant's current and previous employers, including the applicant's period of employment and positions held with each employer; and(E) a statement swearing that the information provided is true, accurate, and complete.(2) Meet one (1) of the following eligibility requirements: (A) Hold a current NBBI commission.(B) Hold a boiler and pressure vessel inspector's license issued by another state that requires qualifications that are substantially equal to the qualifications required in Indiana.(C) Hold an API 510 certification by way of passing the API 510 certification exam.(D) Pass an examination administered under section 4.1 of this rule.(3) Meet one (1) of the following minimum requirements for education and experience: (A) Hold a bachelor's degree in engineering plus one (1) year experience in design, construction, operation, or inspection of power boilers and unfired pressure vessels.(B) Hold an associate degree in mechanical technology plus two (2) years experience in design, construction, operation, or inspection of power boilers and unfired pressure vessels.(C) Graduate from high school or the equivalent plus three (3) years experience in design, construction, operation, or inspection of power boilers and unfired pressure vessels.
