Section 590 IAC 5-1.1-12 - "Minimum library education" defined

Sec. 12.

"Minimum library education" means at least nine (9) semester hours or twelve (12) quarter hours of approved library science education, taken with or after completion of two (2) years of academic education in an accredited college or university. This education is designated to meet the minimum essential needs of small public libraries for purposes of certifying positions of Librarian Certificate 5. Courses must be worth at least three (3) semester hours or four (4) quarter hours each.
