Section 513 IAC 1-1-20 - "Staff" defined

Sec. 20.

(a) "Staff" means any person, working within a school, who has regular and direct contact with students, including:
(1) a school employee;
(2) a volunteer;
(3) a contract employee;
(4) a consultant;
(5) a school resource officer or any law enforcement employed by a school or providing services through a school's subcontractor; or
(6) any other agent; of a school corporation, charter school, or an accredited nonpublic school.
(b) An agency relationship exists when there is:
(1) a manifestation of consent by the school to the agent;
(2) an acceptance of the authority by the agent; and
(3) control exerted by the school over the agent.
