Sec. 19.
"Consultation and collaboration" means services provided to parentally-placed students in nonpublic schools who are eligible for special education and related services. These services include, but are not limited to, the following:
(1) Development of a service plan as specified in 511 IAC 7-34-5(e).(2) Periodic communication between the teacher of record and the nonpublic school regarding the goals contained in the student's service plan. Periodic communication must occur at least as often as, and in conjunction with, the periodic reports required in subdivision (3).(3) Periodic reports from the teacher of record to the student's parent specifying how the student is progressing toward the goals contained in the student's service plan. The reports must occur on the same schedule as the nonpublic school's report cards are sent to parents.(4) Collaboration, which may include opportunities for professional development on topics such as the following: (B) Differentiated instruction.(D) Instructional or behavioral management techniques.(E) Identification, adaptation, and utilization of the following: (iii) Instructional aids.(F) Response to scientific, research based interventions.(G) Other topics addressing the needs of the student.
