Sec. 11.
"Benchmarks" means major milestones a student is expected to achieve. Benchmarks establish expected performance levels for students assessed against alternate achievement standards that allow for regular checks of progress that coincide with the reporting periods for informing parents of the student's progress toward achieving the annual goals delineated in a student's IEP.
