Section 470 IAC 3-1.1-0.5 - Minimum standards

Sec. 0.5.

This rule represents the minimum standards necessary to operate a child care home in the state of Indiana, developed under the authority of IC 12-17.2. These rules apply to the home during hours of operation as a child care home. The purpose of these rules is to protect and promote the health and safety of children in care and to support families as consumers of child care services. First and foremost, child care is the responsibility and choice of the parent. Many child care advocates, providers, licensing specialists, and parents participated in the development of these rules.
