Section 440 IAC 10-1-56 - "Tapering" defined

Sec. 56.

"Tapering" means a directed reduction of medication dosage over time with the goal of reducing the dosage or eliminating the dosage as clinically determined based on the:

(1) known pharmacology of the medication; and

(2) clinical responsiveness of the patient.
