Section 410 IAC 7-24-6 - "a[w]" defined

Sec. 6.

"a_w" means water activity that is as follows:

(1) A measure of the free moisture in a food.

(2) The quotient of the water vapor pressure of the substance divided by the vapor pressure of pure water at the same temperature.

(3) Indicated by the symbol a_w.
