Sec. 4.
All patient care equipment must be in good working order and regularly serviced and maintained as follows:
(1) All patient care equipment must be on a documented maintenance schedule of appropriate frequency in accordance with one (1) of the following: (A) Acceptable standards of practice.(B) The manufacturer's recommended maintenance schedule.(2) There must be evidence of preventive maintenance on all patient care equipment.(3) Appropriate records must be: (A) kept pertaining to equipment maintenance, repairs, and electrical current leakage checks; and(B) analyzed at least triennially.(4) Defibrillators, if present, must be discharged at least in accordance with manufacturers' recommendations, and a discharge log with initialed entries must be maintained.Indiana State Department of Health; 410 IAC 27-17-4; filed Feb 3, 2006, 2:00 p.m.: 29 IR 1921; readopted filed Jul 12, 2012, 12:09 p.m.: 20120808-IR-410120265RFAReadopted filed 9/26/2018, 2:48 p.m.: 20181024-IR-410180328RFA
