Sec. 2.
(a) Delivery shall be performed by a:(1) certified nurse midwife; or(b) A physician must either be:(1) present in the facility; or(2) immediately available by telecommunications to the staff; when there is a patient in the center.(c) A physician, certified nurse midwife, licensed practical nurse, certified emergency medical technician, or a certified paramedic must remain in the center until the mother and neonate are either discharged or transferred. In addition to a physician or certified nurse midwife, a second employee who is CPR competent shall be present at each birth.(d) Surgical services must be organized to meet the needs of the patient in accordance with acceptable standards of practice and safety.
