Section 410 IAC 16.2-3.1-52 - Quality assessment and assurance

Sec. 52.

(a) A facility must maintain a quality assessment and assurance committee consisting of the following:

(1) The director of nursing services.

(2) A physician designated by the facility.

(3) At least three (3) other members of the facility's staff.

(b) The quality assessment and assurance committee shall do the following:

(1) Meet at least quarterly to identify issues with respect to which quality assessment and assurance activities are necessary.

(2) Develop and implement appropriate plans of action to correct identified issues.

(c) For purposes of IC 16-28-5-1, a breach of:

(1) subsection (a) is a deficiency; and

(2) subsection (b) is a noncompliance.
