Section 35 IAC 14-9-6 - Disability benefits; benefit commencement

Sec. 6.

A member who becomes disabled and has sufficient credit for retirement is entitled to disability retirement benefits only after the member has ceased making contributions and receiving credit for service. Benefits shall commence the month after the onset date of the disability or the month after the member's last day of compensable service, whichever is later.
