Sec. 51.
"Suspect animal" means a sheep or goat that is designated a suspect animal under 345 IAC 5-6 and meets one (1) of the following sets of criteria:
(1) The sheep or goat exhibits any of the following signs of scrapie and is determined to be suspicious for scrapie by an accredited veterinarian, the state veterinarian, or a federal animal health official:(A) Weight loss despite retention of appetite.(B) Behavior abnormalities.(E) Biting at legs or side.(G) Motor abnormalities, such as the following:(ii) High stepping gait of forelimbs.(iii) Bunny hop movement of rear legs.(iv) Swaying of back end.(H) Increased sensitivity to noise and sudden movement.(M) Other signs of neurological disease or chronic wasting.(2) A sheep or goat that has:(A) tested positive for:(ii) the proteinase resistant protein associated with scrapie; on a live animal screening test or any other test; and
