Section 312 IAC 29-2-70 - "Hydraulic fracturing" defined

Sec. 70.

"Hydraulic fracturing" means the process of pumping fluid into a closed well bore with sufficient downhole pressure to crack or fracture the formation, allowing the injection of a proppant into the fractures, thereby creating a high-permeability plane through which fluids can flow.
