Section 312 IAC 25-1-84 - "Natural hazard lands" defined

Sec. 84.

"Natural hazard lands", for purposes of 312 IAC 25-3-3 through 312 IAC 25-3-5, means a geographic area in which natural conditions exist that pose or, as a result of surface coal mining operations, may pose a threat to the health, safety, or welfare of people, property, or the environment, including areas subject to the following:

(1) Landslides.
(2) Cave-ins.
(3) Large or encroaching sand dunes.
(4) Severe wind or soil erosion.
(5) Frequent flooding.
(6) Avalanches.
(7) Areas of unstable geology.
