Section 230.10 - Designation and Functiona) The Illinois Department on Aging is the designated single State Agency for the purpose of: 1) Developing and administering the State plan;2) Having primary responsibility for the coordination of all activities in the State relating to the purposes of the Act;3) Serving as the effective and visible advocate of all older persons in the State; and4) Assisting area agencies on aging in the development of comprehensive and coordinated service delivery systems throughout the State.b) The Department shall develop and have available for review a functional statement of the manner in which all of the responsibilities under this part are performed by the Department.Ill.
