This Part is issued by the Director of the Department of Financial and Professional Regulation-Division of Insurance (Director) pursuant to Section 401 of the Illinois Insurance Code [215 ILCS 5/401 ] which empowers the Director to make reasonable rules and regulations as may be necessary for making effective the insurance laws of this State. This Part implements Sections 363 and 363a of the Illinois Insurance Code [215 ILCS 5/363 and 363 a].
