Effective teachers in the middle grades possess the knowledge and skills articulated in the "Middle Level Teacher Preparation Standards" (2012) published by the Association for Middle Level Education, 4151 Executive Parkway, Suite 300, Westerville OH 43081and posted at http://www.amle.org/ProfessionalPreparation/AMLEStandards/tabid/374/Default.aspx.
