Section 1.310 - Administrative Qualifications and ResponsibilitiesAdministrators and supervisors shall be appropriately licensed, meeting the requirements stated in Sections 21B-20 and 21B-25 of the School Code [105 ILCS 5/21B-20 and 21 B-25] and Section 1.705 of this Part.
a) Chief school business officials, effective July 1, 1977, shall be appropriately licensed, meeting the requirements stated either in Section 21B-20(2)(K) or 21B-25 of the School Code.b) Department chairpersons and teacher leaders who are required to supervise and/or evaluate teachers shall meet the applicable requirements of Section 1.705 of this Part. (See also Section 21B-25 of the School Code.) This regulation shall apply only to those individuals serving as department chairs first assigned to this position on or after September 1, 1978 and individuals holding a teacher leader endorsement issued in accordance with 23 Ill. Adm. Code 25.32 (Teacher Leader Endorsement).c) Divided Service 1) An administrator, i.e., a superintendent or principal, may serve in two professional capacities provided that full-time equivalency results in a maximum of one full-time position.2) In school districts with an enrollment of 100 or fewer, an individual may serve as superintendent/principal and teach (up to 1/2 day).Ill.
