Any veteran who was a prisoner of war (POW) of an armed enemy of the United States during active service in the armed forces of the United States during the following recognized war periods may be eligible: |

KOREAN WAR | June 27, 1950 to January 31, 1955 |
VIETNAM WAR | August 5, 1964 to May 7, 1975 |
USS PUEBLO | January 23, 1968 to December 23, 1968 |
PERSIAN GULF | August 2, 1990 (Congress has not assigned an ending date.) |
02.Certified Documentation. Eligibility will be documented by a copy of the applicant's 53.55 or DD-214 Separation from Active Duty papers, or other specific documentation received from the Veterans Administration that certifies that the applicant was a prisoner of war during the recognized war periods stated above.Idaho Admin.
