Section 16.06.01.487 - RESIDENTIAL CARE FACILITIESPlacement into a residential care facility for children with a severe emotional or behavioral problems is based on the documented needs of the child and the inability of less restrictive settings to meet the child's needs.
01.Referral. Any referral of a child to a residential care facility where the Department would be making full or partial payment must be prior authorized by the Child Services and Family Program Manager or designee.02.Payment. When care is purchased from private providers, payment must be made in accordance with a contract authorized by the Child Services and Family Program Manager, based on the needs of each child being placed and the services to be provided. When care is provided in facilities operated by the Department, payment will be arranged in cooperation with Department fiscal officers.Idaho Admin. Code r. 16.06.01.487
