Section 15.04.01.075 - BONUSES
01.Performance Bonuses. Up to a total of two thousand dollars ($2,000) may be awarded each fiscal year, in recognition of exemplary performance. In extraordinary circumstances exceptions to the two thousand dollar ($2,000) limit may be granted if approved in advance by the State Board of Examiners. Documentation of the exemplary performance and related bonus award must be provided to the employee and placed in the employee's agency personnel file. (Ref. 02.Employee Suggestion Award. Appointing authorities may award up to a total of twenty-five percent (25%) of the savings realized from an employee's idea to save taxpayer dollars, not to exceed two thousand dollars ($2,000). (Ref. Section 67-5309D, Idaho Code) (3-31-22)
a. Suggestions need to increase productivity, conserve state resources, reduce state costs, or improve the morale of state employees. (3-31-22)
b. Suggestions that may deserve an award larger than two thousand dollars ($2,000) and suggestions aimed at saving money outside the employee's state agency should be submitted through the employee's agency first, then submitted to the Division. Awards greater than two thousand dollars ($2,000) must be approved in advance by the State Board of Examiners. (3-31-22)
c. Employee suggestion awards may be funded from the expense category (personnel, operating, or capital) from which the savings were realized. (3-31-22)
