Section 11.04.01.375 - TIMERIn the absence of an electronic timer, the timer must:
01.Record Time. Accurately record the time elapsed between the start and finish of each race;02.Record From the Instant the First Horse Leaves. Record from the instant that the first horse leaves the point from which the distance is measured until the first horse reaches the finish line;03.Post Quarter Times. At a racetrack equipped with an appropriate infield totalizator board, post the quarter times (splits) for thoroughbred races in fractions as a race is being run. For quarter horse races, the timer must post the official times in hundredths of a second;04.Time All Races. For back-up purposes, also use a stopwatch to time all races. In time trials, ensure that at least three (3) stopwatches are used by one of the stewards or their designees; and05.Maintain Record. Maintain a printed record of fractional and finish times of each race and have same available for inspection by the stewards or the Racing Commission on request.Idaho Admin. Code r. 11.04.01.375
