It is an unfair and deceptive act or practice for a seller to create a false impression of the grade, quality, quantity, make, value, age, size, color, usability, availability, or origin of the goods or services offered, or which may otherwise misrepresent the goods or services in such a manner that later, on disclosure of the true facts, there is a likelihood that the consumer may be switched from the advertised goods or services to other goods or services. Even though the true facts are subsequently made known to the consumer, subchapter E is violated if the first contact or interview is secured by a bait-and-switch offer. (3-31-22)
