This subchapter shall apply in determining how much service in any year is equivalent to a year of service for members classified as general employees in section 88-102, Hawaii Revised Statutes, for members classified as teachers in section 88-102, Hawaii Revised Statutes, for elected officials and part-time workers who are included in the membership of the system.
