Section 5-34-12 - Ex parte communications(a) In any administrative proceeding before a hearings officer, the agency or any other government agency shall not privately communicate on the merits of the case with the hearings officer.(b) It shall be improper for the department or any person interested in a proceeding to seek to influence the judgment of the hearings officer.[Eff 2/13/89; am and comp OCT 31, 1991; am and comp DEC 24 2001] (Auth: HRS § 91-2) (Imp: HRS § 91-2)
