The objective of this chapter is to implement the requirements of chapter 150A, Hawaii Revised Statutes, by restricting or prohibiting the importation of specific non-domestic animals that are detrimental to the agricultural, horticultural, and aquacultural industries, natural resources and environment of Hawaii, and on the basis of associated risks to animal or public health and safety.
