Section 23-191-1 - Definitions

As used in this chapter:

"Assessment" means the process used to gather and verify pertinent information, develop impressions and images, and check hypotheses about an offender's behavior in interaction with the community or correctional environment.

"Order" means a legal document filed in court which grants the release of a pretrial detainee, and includes all terms and conditions imposed by the director or agreed to by the pretrial detainee who is being released, or both. to order shall have the effect of or be construed as dismissing, or otherwise terminating the criminal charges pending against the pretrial detainee being released.

"Program" means a combination of departmental resources and activities designed to achieve an objective or objectives.
