Section 19-139-110 - Parent/guardian involvement

Communication with the parents or guardians shall be evident in all driver education curricula.

(1) Instructional materials shall be provided to the parent or guardian describing the driver education course and how their involvement will help their student develop good driving habits;
(2) Parents or guardians shall be provided information on how to remain calm, give commands, keep the car in control, and provide positive feedback when conducting behind-the-wheel practice with their teenagers; and
(3) Parents or guardians shall be provided in-car support materials defining what to focus on and when to practice.
