Parking meters shall be in operation twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week, including Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays. Parking or standing a vehicle in a designated space in a parking meter zone shall be lawful upon deposit of the proper coins of the United States of America as indicated on the parking meter or on posted signs in the area.
