Haw. Code R. § 19-44-27

Current through April, 2024
Section 19-44-27 - Change in vessel status

Vessels, including tugs and barges, will be allowed to change their status from "Overseas" to "Inter-island or Intra-island" only once a month. A vessel which brings cargo from overseas and engages in inter-island or intra-island voyages will be considered for change in status only after all of its overseas cargo has been delivered to a port in the State. Should the vessel be granted inter-island or intra-island status but then depart for an overseas destination within a month of that status change, the change will be revoked and the vessel considered engaged in overseas commerce for the entire period.
