Section 17-2036-51 - Maximum term of homeownership assistance(a) Except in the case of a family that qualifies as an elderly or disabled family, the maximum term of homeownership assistance is as follows: (1) Fifteen years, if the initial mortgage incurred to finance the purchase of the home has a term of twenty years or longer; or(2) Ten years, in all other cases.(b) A family shall qualify as an elderly family at the start of the homeownership assistance.(c) A family may qualify as a disabled family at any time during receipt of homeownership assistance.(d) If, during the course of homeownership assistance, the family ceases to qualify as an elderly or disabled family, the maximum term of homeownership assistance is fifteen years plus six months.
