Section 17-895.1-44 - Admission of ill infants and toddlers(a) Acutely ill infants and toddlers may only be admitted with adequate provision for isolation and adequate personnel to provide individual care.(b) When health policies of the child care facility allow ill infants or toddlers to be admitted or to remain in the facility, health consultation shall be available regarding special care and medication. (1) The child care facility shall have, in writing, the name, address, and telephone number of a physician or health resource that shall be called.(2) Written permission shall be required of the parent or guardian to call upon the stated physician or health resource, or another responsible source of care, if the parent or guardian cannot be reached.(c) Caregiving staff and parents or guardians shall be informed of the child care facility's policies on ill infants and toddlers.(d) The facility shall, in consultation with its health consultant, establish a readmission policy for children who have been absent because of illness which shall be provided to the parents or guardians.Haw.
