Section 17-892.1-42 - Program modifications for night care A child care facility offering night care shall meet the requirements of this chapter in addition to the following requirements:
(1) In consultation with parents, special attention shall be given by the caregiver to provide for a transition into night care;(2) A selection of toys for quiet activities shall be available;(3) Comfortable beds or cots, complete bedding and night clothes shall be available or supplied by the parents;(4) Beds shall be placed at least three feet apart;(5) Staff shall be available to assist children during eating and pre-bedtime hours and during the morning period when dressing. During sleeping hours, staff shall be within listening distance to provide for the needs of children and to respond to an emergency;(6) A child shall not sleep in a building detached from the main facility; and(7) Night care facilities shall include at least one shower, bathtub, or bathing facility for the children.Haw.
