Section 17-800-43 - Disaster plan for emergenciesThe provider shall have the following:
(1) Verification of fire inspection completed annually by the county fire prevention bureau and no deficiencies that remain uncorrected;(2) An unexpired ABC multi-purpose type fire extinguisher in the child care area, kept out of the reach of children when children in care are not school-age;(3) An emergency exit plan which is posted in the child care area and practiced regularly with the children;(4) Emergency evacuation exits which are kept clear of obstructions;(5) A written disaster plan to cover emergencies, including fire, flood, natural disaster, evacuation, relocation, shelter-in-place, lock-down, communication and reunification with families, continuity of operations, accommodation of infants and toddlers, children with disabilities, and children with chronic medical conditions; and(6) Mandatory emergency preparedness training for staff employees, and volunteers.
