Coverage as a qualified disabled and working individual will coincide with the effective date of enrollment in Part A, as allowed under section 1818A of the Social Security Act ( 42 U.S.C. §1395 i - 2(a) and determined by the Social Security Administration but not earlier than the first day of the three months prior to the month the application is received by the department.
